What does SLED mean?

When you hear SLED referred to in a sales conversation, the speaker is referring to State, Local, and Education agencies. For example, counties, cities, public school systems, and public universities all are classified as SLED.

Selling to the SLED sector represents a unique opportunity and challenge for sellers. SLED organizations are independent of each other, meaning that each organization is empowered to make its own purchasing decisions based solely on its own needs and preferences. You should also remember that each organization likely has different budget cycles.
